TAES
TAES Elementary School, located in Xitun District, Taichung City, has a history of nearly 70 years. It is situated near Central Park and surrounded by landmarks such as Ke Nan Aegean Bridge, Green Museum, and the Film Center. TAES is well known for its hand drum dance team, which has won numerous awards over the years. For this project, we were commissioned to create a visual identity design. We incorporated elements from the original TAES logo to create various graphics representing the unique culture of TAES Elementary School and its surrounding landmarks. This creative design respects the original concept of the logo while highlighting TAES’s distinct characteristics, successfully fulfilling the visual identity design requirements.

STANDARD COLOR
For the standard colors, we retained the traditional red and blue of TAES Elementary School. However, since these colors previously had no fixed color codes, we specifically standardized them as Red (PANTONE 485 C) and Blue (PANTONE 301 C). At the same time, we established guidelines for the use of these colors to ensure that the logo maintains consistent specifications and standards across all future applications. This design approach enhances brand recognition and maintains consistency across widespread use.
STANDARD FONT DESIGN
For the typography, we specially designed a custom hand-drawn font for TAES Elementary School to align with the school’s spirit and the style of the logo. This unique typeface not only complements the logo but also aims to convey a sense of playfulness along with the logo’s geometric lines. Additionally, we plan to further develop this into a unified identity system to be applied across various materials such as business cards, envelopes, certificates, and invitations. This design approach is intended to highlight the distinctive charm of TAES Elementary School and enhance the overall consistency of its visual identity.
VISUAL DESIGN
In the visual design, we creatively utilized the geometric lines of the logo to craft a variety of distinctive graphics. These illustrations depict students performing hand drumming and dancing, as well as notable campus landmarks such as Central Park, Kenan Aegean Bridge, Green Library, and the Film Center. We focused on designing an atmosphere full of joy and celebration. These creative graphics will be widely applied to business cards, envelopes, certificates, invitations, and other promotional materials, effectively showcasing the unique charm and welcoming spirit of TAES Elementary School in Xitun District, Taichung City.
STATIONERY DESIGN
Finally, we applied the logo, standard colors, custom typography, and creative graphics to various stationery items, including business cards, envelopes, certificates, invitations, and other promotional materials. These carefully crafted designs not only showcase the unique charm of TAES Elementary School in Xitun District, Taichung City, but also convey a joyful atmosphere to the outside world. This successfully deepens the public’s impression of TAES Elementary School and enhances their understanding of the school’s culture and surrounding environment.

By applying the above-mentioned identity system, we have significantly enhanced the professionalism of the TAES Elementary School Parent-Teacher Association website. During the website development process, we placed great emphasis on data collection and copywriting to comprehensively showcase the efforts and contributions of the Parent-Teacher Association. This not only helps increase membership but also assists in raising more funds to provide TAES Elementary School students with better educational resources and facilities. Through these carefully crafted designs and detailed presentations, we aim to help parents and community members deeply appreciate the value of the Parent-Teacher Association and its support for the school, further promoting the school’s growth and prosperity.
